Ion heating in laser interacting with magnetized plasma

چکیده
The ion heating mechanism in the context of laser interacting with plasma immersed a strong magnetic field is studied. chosen to be for electromagnetic propagation inside governed by magnetized dispersion relation. Both X and RL mode configurations have been studied detail using Particle - In Cell (PIC) simulations. It shown that energy absorption process resonant wherein frequency matches an underlying plasma. For configurations, these correspond lower hybrid cyclotron resonance, respectively. absorption, however, found most efficient at frequencies close but not exactly matching resonance frequency. An understanding same has provided. role polarization detail.
